Everything starts with memory. From the cradle to the grave, everyday we use our memory. This is especially true during the younger years. We have all heard the saying about how the brains of preschoolers are like sponges. This is an evolutionary trait, because the younger years are when we do most of our learning. Preschoolers are bombarded with information on a daily basis.

There is simply no use in signing up children for STEM or reading enrichment when they are unable to remember what is being taught. It may surprise many parents that preschool enrichment teachers do not have to be MOE or even EDCA certified! Most enrichment teachers are not even formally trained in teaching the early years. Covid-19 has thought us a lot about learning and has shifted a generation on how they learn and consume knowledge online. The curriculum is extremely, we repeat, extremely engaging online. We went undercover for a trial session and the teacher was extremely engaging. All the children was glued to the teacher during the online learning session. The teacher also gives short breaks to the children disguised in games. One game for example was for each child to find an item, like a pencil. the child then has 1 minute find the item. This was extremely interesting to watch, and it also gives the children an opportunity to move around during the class.
